Ionut Gabriel Deju
I am Gabriel, a painter rooted in the rugged beauty of the natural world - and deeply inspired by my Romanian roots. Fond memories of childhood holidays spent in my grandparents' village, surrounded by nature, animals, and local traditions, have left a lasting mark on my heart and my art. These early experiences continue to shape the themes and spirit of my work.
As an outdoorsman at heart, I spend as much time hiking wild landscapes as I do in the studio. My art grows from this connection to the earth, where textured brushstrokes and natural light breathe life into every canvas.
I work primarily with oil paints, using their rich texture and depth to capture the subtle moods and colors of the landscapes i love.
Painting is my way of slowing down. in a world that moves too fast, I seek moments of stillness and reverence - capturing the subtle rhythms of nature through contemplative patient observation. Each piece is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to connect with something timeless and authentic.
